Agreement to Terms
Welcome to DoseAnchor. These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DoseAnchor regarding your use of our medication reminder application and related services. By accessing or using DoseAnchor, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of DoseAnchor after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Eligibility and Account Registration
To use DoseAnchor, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacitto enter into binding contracts
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
Medical Disclaimer
Important: DoseAnchor is Not a Medical Device
DoseAnchor is a medication reminder and coordination tool designed to help family caregivers manage medication schedules. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional healthcare services.
By using DoseAnchor, you acknowledge and agree that:
- DoseAnchor does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- You should always consult qualified healthcare providers for medical decisions
- You are responsible for following your healthcare provider's instructions
- DoseAnchor does not verify medication information or dosage accuracy
- In case of medical emergency, you should call 911 or seek immediate medical attention
Acceptable Use
You may use DoseAnchor for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
- Remove or modify any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Share your account access with unauthorized individuals
Family Caregiver Features
DoseAnchor allows family members to coordinate medication management. When using family caregiver features, you agree that:
- You have obtained proper consent from the individual whose medications you are managing
- You will respect the privacy and autonomy of the person receiving care
- You will use shared information only for legitimate caregiving purposes
- You are responsible for managing access permissions appropriately
- You will not abuse caregiver privileges or access information inappropriately
DoseAnchor is not responsible for disputes between family members regarding shared information or caregiving responsibilities.
Subscription and Payment
DoseAnchor offers both free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:
- Pay all fees associated with your chosen subscription plan
- Provide accurate and current payment information
- Authorize automatic recurring charges unless you cancel
- Accept that subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Intellectual Property
DoseAnchor and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by DoseAnchor and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to DoseAnchor, but you grant us a license to use, store, and process that content to provide our services. This license terminates when you delete your content or account, except for content that has been shared with other users.
Limitation of Liability
Important Liability Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DoseAnchor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
We specifically disclaim liability for:
- Missed medication doses or reminders due to technical issues
- Inaccurate medication information entered by users
- Health outcomes or medical complications
- Service interruptions, delays, or errors
- Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account
- Actions or omissions of third-party service providers
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of DoseAnchor shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold DoseAnchor harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to other users or our services.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of DoseAnchor shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis. You waive your right to participate in class-action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice through email or in-app notifications.
Your continued use of DoseAnchor after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the service and delete your account.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DoseAnchor regarding your use of the service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
