Support
How can we help?
Quick fixes for the most common DoseAnchor problems, and a direct line to our support team when you need a person.
Medical emergency? Don’t use this page. Call 911 or your local emergency number. For questions about a missed or extra dose, follow the medicine label or call the pharmacist. DoseAnchor is a reminder tool, not a medical service — read the medical disclaimer.
Common problems and quick fixes
Most issues are phone settings. Try these steps first — they solve the majority of reports.
Reminders
Dose reminders are not arriving
- Check that notifications are allowed for DoseAnchor in your phone’s Settings, including sounds and lock-screen alerts.
- Turn off Do Not Disturb or Focus mode, or add DoseAnchor to the apps that are allowed to notify you.
- Open DoseAnchor and check Quiet hours — they silence non-urgent notifications during the hours you set.
- On Android, allow “Alarms & reminders” for DoseAnchor and set its battery usage to Unrestricted so the phone doesn’t put it to sleep.
- Confirm the medicine’s schedule, start date and end date are correct, and that the medicine isn’t ended.
Reminders arrive late or all at once
- Battery saver and “adaptive battery” modes delay notifications. Turn them off for DoseAnchor, or set its battery usage to Unrestricted on Android.
- Make sure the phone’s date, time and time zone are set automatically. After travel, open the app once so reminders follow the new time zone.
- If the phone was off or offline at dose time, reminders can arrive when it reconnects.
A dose was marked “Missed” but it was taken
- DoseAnchor marks a dose as missed when nobody confirms it in time, so the log only knows what was tapped.
- Ask the person taking the medicine to tap “Taken” from the reminder or the Home screen as soon as the dose is taken.
- Do not take an extra dose to “fix” the log. For questions about a missed or doubled dose, follow the label or call the pharmacist.
- If you can’t correct the entry, send us the medicine name, date and time using the form below.
Caregivers & family
The caregiver invite email never arrived
- Check the email address you typed for the caregiver — a single typo sends the invite elsewhere.
- Ask the caregiver to look in Spam, Junk, Promotions and Updates folders.
- The caregiver must sign in with the same email address the invite was sent to.
- The Free plan includes 1 caregiver per patient and Premium up to 3. Remove an old invite if you have reached the limit.
Caregivers are not getting missed-dose alerts
- Missed-dose alerts to caregivers are a Premium feature: the primary caregiver is alerted about 30 minutes after an unconfirmed dose, backups after about 60 minutes.
- Check Caregiver alert controls — each caregiver can choose all alerts, the daily summary only, or off.
- The caregiver needs notifications allowed for DoseAnchor on their own phone, and should check spam for alert emails.
- On the Free plan, the caregiver can view the patient’s medicines, doses and check-ins, but does not receive missed-dose alerts.
Medicines & refills
Pill count or refill reminder looks wrong
- The pill count goes down only when a dose is marked Taken. Doses marked Skipped or Missed don’t use up pills.
- After picking up a refill, edit the medicine and enter the new number of pills on hand.
- Check the dosage amount per dose (for example 2 tablets), since it changes how fast the count drops.
I can’t add more medicines or another patient
- The Free plan includes 1 patient profile and up to 5 medicines.
- Premium adds multiple patient profiles and unlimited medicines. Caregivers never need to pay.
- You can end or remove a medicine your parent no longer takes to free up a slot on the Free plan.
Account & billing
I can’t sign in or forgot my password
- Use “Forgot password” on the sign-in screen and check your Spam folder for the reset email.
- Make sure you are using the same email address you signed up with.
- Still locked out? Tell us the email address on the account using the form below — never send your password.
How do I delete my account and data?
- Send a deletion request using the form below (choose “Delete my account or data”) from the email address on the account.
- We confirm the request by email and delete the account and its medication data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- If you have Premium, cancel the subscription in Google Play or the App Store first — deleting the account does not cancel billing.
